Nicole Barnell

Dr. Nicole Barnell was a TK- 6 classroom teacher and served as a district coach in technology. Nicole is currently a Lecturer and Supervisor at California State University, Bakersfield. Google Certified and Common Sense Literacy Trained, Nicole specializes in instructional coaching with educators and technology use to increase student engagement and reinforce learning in real time. Passionate about differentiated instruction, Nicole’s favorite quote is by Ignacio Estrada, “If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.”

All degrees, up to her Doctorate in Education, are obtained from California State University, Fresno. Before entering the education field, Nicole worked in the field of biotechnology. Married and a mother of 3, Nicole resides in Merced, California.
